CX — Century Index — see century index

The ticker of the century index: a fixed basket of eight world assets used as a unit of account for long-duration obligations.

Where it appears

land rights agreement §2.3, §2.4, Annex E (Century Index).

Why it matters

Whoever owes the index owes quantities, not a number. Used for 25-year lease streams; deliberately not used for short-dated obligations, where its volatility would work against both parties.

Part of the pack's vocabulary.
