AGENTS.md — soft3

the doctrine of the home is ~/cyber/AGENTS.md; it applies here first. Claude Code receives both files at session start through ~/.config/cyber/agents-md.nu; other agents read them in order.

what this repo is

soft3 owns foundational stack composition contracts and developer interfaces: language libraries, MCP server, CLI and wire format adapters. Component algorithms remain in their owning repositories.

specs/execution-model.md is the normative execution architecture. A warrior supports a VM/OS family across an open-ended set of compatible network instances; workers and hardware backends are independent deployment choices. specs/README.md indexes contracts. Keep the root README and site navigation linked to this foundation when changing architecture.

dependency chain

soft3 SDK depends on: hemera (particle), bbg (state + proofs), lens (verification), cybergraph (signal submission), radio (transport)

do NOT implement stack logic here. call into the stack repos via FFI, WASM, or RPC. the SDK is an adapter, not a reimplementation.

scaffold readmes and command stubs are welcome. full implementations wait for blockers to resolve.

release gates

The shared contract is specs/releases.md. release/phase1.toml owns sibling pins; release/train.py executes the gates listed there. The Friday workflow creates drafts only. Product workflows pin this implementation by full revision.

Before changing the engine, run: python3 -m unittest discover -s release -p 'test_*.py' -v. Candidate gates are origin-checkouts, phase1-pins, release-notes-source, package-resolution, source-inputs-unchanged, stack-*, conformance-snapshot, stack-chain-genesis, simulation-gate (the chain simulator's gate suite, cyberia-to/simulation), soft3-tests, soft3-release, and node-status. Products add soft3-dependency and their application gates. Missing implementations and failed gates remain red evidence. Owner-only promotion, tags and bump merges follow ~/cyber/AGENTS.md.
