simple natural soap concentrate from soap nuts — for use in cleaning and laundry, fully biodegradable and zero waste.
📝 step-by-step instructions
1. first step (overnight soaking)

- put soap nuts into a pot
- cover with fresh water
- leave to soak overnight
2. second step (cooking, ~1 hour+)

- add 30 drops of each essential oil to the soaked soap nuts

- bring to a boil and cook for about 1 hour
- remove from heat and let cool completely
3. preparing water for diluting the concentrate (in parallel)

- boil fresh water (not tap water)
- allow water to boil for 1–3 minutes after reaching a rolling boil
- let the boiled water cool down to room temperature
4. final step (assembling soap solution)
- pour one quarter of a bottle of soap concentrate
- dilute with cooled boiled water

- separate the pits from the soap nut shells
- grind the shells in a blender
- add the ground shell mixture into bottles with soap liquid
- plant the pits
💡 tips
- keep the soap concentrate refrigerated if not using immediately
- shake the diluted soap bottle gently before use
- small particles from the shells are natural and help enhance cleaning power
