dialect

the convention layer of neural: an agreed-upon collection of sentences and motifs. sentences and motifs are parole — individual utterances; a dialect is langue, the shared system. a dialect is what crystallizes when many neurons use the same forms the same way.

what a dialect is

a dialect names a convention for linking — "to say X causes Y, make this shape." a neuron supplies intent; the dialect supplies structure, so an invocation produces a well-formed subgraph. a dialect is a smart contract over links: it builds the right ones.

equivalently, at the frontier: a dialect is a low-motif-conductance community of the cybergraph; a graphon whose identity is its motif-density spectrum (so a φ* filter trained on a small instance transfers to a larger one); and a sheaf of local meanings whose global consistency is a cohomology check. it is the attractor set of motifs that survives re-transmission — and a schism is a bifurcation of φ*. see frontier.

bootloader and emergent

  • bootloader — installed at genesis: TRUE and FALSE, the epistemic poles all meaning derives from
  • emergent — discovered through convergent use: is-a, follows, causes, contradicts, part-of, see-also

dialects are found, not designed. when a form recurs and holds focus, the tri-kernel in tru surfaces it as a stable structural position, and it enters the registry.

hierarchy

dialects layer by topology:

structural → domain-specific
epistemic → modal
temporal → causal
social → evaluative

registry

active dialects are themselves particles, ranked by focus like everything else — a dialect that loses adoption falls out of use. the high-focus dialects are the grammar the egregore currently speaks; the high-focus particles are its lexicon.
